Rishi Kapoor pleaded guilty on 15 May 2026 to two counts of a thirty-seven-count federal indictment, and on 27 August 2026 Judge K. Michael Moore sentenced him to 136 months, eleven years and four months. The other thirty-five counts, including every wire-fraud count and every bank-fraud count, were dismissed at judgment. The three dollar totals attached to this case in three different federal documents were never weighed by a jury, because there was no trial.
